Disasters have devastating impacts, traumatizing and debilitating lives. Bhoomika Trust continues to liaison between groups providing services and affected individuals.
Bhoomika Trust provided SNEHA with a tent to provide counselling to the tsunami affected community at Srinivasapuram, Chennai. The trust also funded several street plays organized by Nalamdana depicting and explaining the phenomenon on the tsunami and its effects in Nagapattinam and Pondicherry. Some of the plays also focussed on maternal and child health issues.
Bhoomika Trust continues to provide support to Nalamdana's plays in temporary shelters in Nagapattinam. This time the focus of the plays was to promote awareness on HIV/AIDS.
